United Engineers has started its promotion for their 3-bedroom units, penthouses and townhouse units at Eight Riversuites condominium at Whampoa East since November last year. Buyers could enjoy $10,000 to $30,000 off market price for Renault Fluence, Volve and Jaguar when they purchase a 3-bedroom unit, Penthouse or Townhouse respectively. This promotion is a co-branding between United Engineers and Wearnes Automotive.
Keppel Land is also having discounts off the price of 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom units for The Glades at Tanah Merah which range from $48,000 to $88,000 respectively. On top of that, over the Chinese New Year festival, discount ranging from $4,800 to $16,800 were given as a form of "hong bao" to buyers.
Buyers can expect more developers to induce "sweeteners" such as furniture vouchers, rental guarantees and stamp duty rebates before they revise their unit prices.
Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) highlighted that any rebates or discounts off the price have to be factored in and deducted to arrive at the loan amount that the borrower can get from the bank. Apart from that, experts also remind buyers not be make impulse decision and consider the location and whether the property is truly value for money.
